Hello out there.
As announced, BellyDanceNY.com, the best source of information about all things relating middle eastern dance and music for the Greater New York area, will be laid to rest for the last time at the end of November, 2007. It had a good run--eleven long years. And while even I will miss it, the time had come to move on.
Bits of BDNY will survive. I love the Cat Page and will continue to maintain it. I'm also fond of Aunt Isis so she'll remain available to dispense good practical advice to dancers who have the sense to ask her for it. And probably a few other features will linger for at least awhile.
The moving on has mostly to do with getting the Blog back up and running. The old posts on rereading are still all too relevant so they'll be moving over here. As time goes by they'll be joined by new posts on belly dance and related subjects.
More than that I can't say for sure now.
Stay tuned.
NOTE: You can read the contents of the previous blog by cruising around on this blog and looking at the page names. It's something on the lines of "Contents of the Blog on BDNY." As soon as I get a better handle on how to use TypePad I'll move everything to my website and clean up the navigation.
The old stuff held up quite well, I think. Unfortunately, the problems in bellydance I addressed then haven't been ameliorated. If anything, they've gotten worse. Too bad.
